We drove around trying to find something different to photograph....but why not take a photo differently. So I wondered to find a different way to photograph the capital. Here is I where stood to figure out what to do - The dome from different perspectives. The picture has some blowout, but wanted this photo to demonstrate what I was looking at/for.
The blossoms were beautiful, so I wanted to capture the flowers as well as keeping my goal of photographing the dome. f/11 1/60 ISO 100. The proportion of the dome through the tree blossoms. I should have removed
the dead branch.
This photo was after walking around the campus, found the fountain empty, so it was a good opportunity for some contrast. The size of the dome, the vertical shape of the water and the bare trees.
At one of the memorials on campus, I was drawn to the view through the memorial. The dominance of the memorial with the dome.
Struggled with the dome to look straight, fought with the memorial to capture it. This is the best one taken. f/80 - 1/60-ISO 100
The wind was something I felt while deciding what to photograph, I knew the flags needed to show the emotion. I spent most of my time right here, fighting the sun spots on the lens. Need a filter I decided. Felt like proportion and scale was demonstrated here. f/29 - 1/80 - ISO 200.
