Farmer's Market Field Trip
The field trip was a lot of fun and I learned a couple of things. I have walked around the waterfront and the market and shot there a number of times, but never on a gray day like yesterday and never when the market is closed.
I learned a lesson about rushing and not being prepared. I thought I was smart for bringing one of my weather sealed bodies, but when I ran off to start shooting after my 15 minutes of walking around I discovered that I didn't have a tripod plate on that body when I went to put it on my tripod, so I ended up dragging my tripod around and not being able to use it.
I was focused on trying to find rhythm and patterns and it's really easy to do around there, especially at the waterfront. My favorite image ended up having nothing to do with those things, I spied a cup that someone had left sitting on the ground and I liked the photo of the dog on it sitting in front of the "no pets" sign.

Greg,
ReplyDeleteI saw that cup and was very tempted to take it as I have a lab! What a fun picture that reflects your sense of humor.
