I decided to embrace the spring colors in Washington, green and brown and gray for this assignment. This is Tolmie State Park at Dusk. In this image, I see the lone green tree in among the soon to be coming to life trees. The image is very cool, and monocromatic in parts. The contrast comes from the sun starburst coming through the trees, in warm tones.

Fill Flash Manual 1/8 power

I didn't have time to go through all the flash exercises, but we did this one together as a group and the Farmers Market. I did have an AHA moment, when I instinctively wanted to speed up my shutter to bring down the amount of light. I hit my max shutter of 500 and decided to bracket with the aperature. I did crop this picture down. You do see some harsh shadows off the forklift, but they are not distracting at this point to the flower itself. I will continue to work with the on camera flash, and try and find ways to make the shadows work in my favor.
